Beginning to Focus

Sometimes I've felt like I am just existing at work.....but for some reason the light bulb is brighter today.

I am running across things and thinking that there's a better way to manage certain items.

Maybe we needed this lull in the industry to allow us to stop and focus.

Looking back

I was looking at my picture in the previous post.  That was a great day.  The weather was perfect.  The friends were perfect!

I so want to rid myself of my anxieties about life in general.  Carefree.......not focusing on "what if".  Just go and do.  So many times in my past I "could not" do something out of fear of the unknown.

Hopefully my future, whatever it holds, will let me continue to grow outside of my box....not being afraid to take chances or travel, or even be happy.

Sunsetting behind the farm

Nanny's farm....my neighbor.

Winter Sunset.

The sun was a pretty orange, but by the time
I got back, it was disappearing.

It is nice living so "close" to Nanny.  She
walks this field most everyday.

85 and spry!  Whatta gal!

Peaceful Sunset

Somehow there is a peaceful feeling along side
the water, especially at sunset.

Inlet - south end of Wrightsville Beach.

    H--Hope
Hope for the best and never forget that anything is possible as long as you remain dedicated to the task.

    M--Manage
Manage your time and your expenses wisely, and you'll suffer less stress and worry. Then you'll be able to focus on the important things in life.

Never ignore the poor, infirm, helpless, weak, or suffering. Offer your assistance when possible, and always your kindness and understanding

    O--Open

    Thinking Of You

    Willow Tree "Thinking Of You"

    A sunbeam to warm you,
    A moonbeam to charm you,
A sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you.
    ~Irish Blessing

    Someone remembers, someone cares;
Your name is whispered in someone’s prayers.
    ~Author Unknown

    Just thinking...............

It was a beautiful day in NC.  High in the upper 60's...warmer tomorrow.  Remember January came in with a b-b-b-rrr?

    I do enjoy warm weather.

    Thoughts to Consider

Holding on to anger, resentment and hurt only gives you tense muscles, a headache and a sore jaw from clenching your teeth. Forgiveness gives you back the laughter and the lightness in your life.
           - Joan Lunden

A good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures in the doctor’s book.
           - Irish Proverb

These I should post in front of me everyday!

    Good to know people

Yes, it is very good to know "people".....the kind you hear about in movies...."I'll have my people call your people"....

My now x-roomie has a friend in the housing business who has said "Hey, call this guy ....he'll get you a good deal".

Hopefully today I'll give him a call and wham bam thanky ma'm I'll have a new heat pump on the way and save some cha-ching!!

Funny thing is I work in the building business myself and couldn't get this deal with my connections even.

It is good to know people.

A New Year - New Journal

Hello J-land!  It's Sharon coming to ya just wanting to start a pick me up spot for myself.

2008----I want it to be great.

    I want to lose weight.

    I want to be happy.

See?  I told you it was all about ME!

New Year's Day:  Blah.  First full day home from Florida and my heat pump is dead.  Ran the emergency heat all night.

Deciding to lay off the Sundrop....my favorite soda.  I've gained so much weight since Tom and I were married in 1997 and it is telling on me in ways I do not like.

Like bending over to tie shoes or put on socks.

So far '08 is not so great eh?

My Nanny fixed me my requested meal of fried chicken, dry lima's, collards, rice and biscuits.

Then I tried to help Miss T learn to ride her bike.

I don't have the patience for that!

So I rode it.......rode it down to the circle in the nearest neighborhood and around the circle about 5 times.

Can you say Ouch? and Huff and Puff?

That's when I bailed and had the Sundrop!  Comfort drink I guess.

My dinner consisted of yeast rolls and peanut butter.  Real healthy!

January 2 Today I am proud to announce that I went to the mall and walked ALL corridors!  My pedometer read 2025 when I sat down in the car.

There are 4 wings in this mall; 3 are normal and one is long.  I started out in the longest one - the Food Court area - and had a Chik-fil-A combo with fruit and diet lemonade then took off!

The first 3 wings were OK.  Then I started #4 thinking "GO!" - don't let it beat you.

It actually felt good to complete this walk.

Today:  One 20oz coffee, 1 trail mix bar and NO Sundrop so far!

Lord, keep me on the straight path!!
